John Boyle

SHREWSBURY-On June 3, 2025, John Boyle was found to have gone to be with God. John was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary (O’Connor) Boyle, his son Shane, siblings Mary and Eleanor of Grafton, MA, Judy Anders of Chapel Hill, NC and his beloved dog Stella.

John leaves behind his daughter Melissa Beley and her husband Richard Beley of Providence, RI, his son Shawn Boyle his former daughter-in-law Rhonda Boyle of Yakima, WA. John’s grandchildren are Courteney Boyle of Boise, ID, Kayla Parker and her husband Brandon Parker of Perham, ME, Delaney Boyle of Yakima, WA and grandson Stephen Belanger of Marlboro, MA along with his nephews Mark and Matthew Anders.

John was born on September 7, 1947 in Worcester, MA. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1965 and enlisted in the United States Army serving as a mechanic. John served his country honorably in Germany and Fort Devens, MA. He worked in the Plumbing Department at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA for 33 years before retiring in 2008. After retiring, John enjoyed volunteering at the Worcester Food Pantry giving back to his community.

John was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and extremely involved in the Catholic Church. Most importantly he was a huge fan and supporter of his children, grandchildren and beloved dog Stella. He was known as Papa Jack or “PJ" for short. He loved his grandchildren so much. We can take solace in knowing he is with his family and Stella who preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

John’s Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church at 44 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will followed in St. John’s Cemetery at 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in John’s name to St. John’s Church for the Poor Center.
