GRAFTON-John S. Cahill of 11C Forest Ln. died Sunday, August 21 died suddenly at home.

He leaves two brothers, Michael and his wife, Eileen Cahill of Worcester, Joseph A Cahill of Westborough; two sisters, Margaret M. and her husband Patrick Coyne of Worcester and Mary B. McMahon of Co. Clare, Ireland; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Patricia Murphy. A brother, James Cahill of Co. Limerick, Ireland died in 1997.

He was born in Co. Clare, Ireland the son of Daniel and Catherine (Roach) Cahill and came to Worcester in 1949. He served in the Army during the Korean War. John was a mental health worker at Worcester State Hospital for 37 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of the American Legion Post %23 92 in Grafton and the Retired State, County & Municipal Workers' Association. John enjoyed hunting and fishing.

The funeral will be Thursday, Aug. 25 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joan of Arc Church, Building Fund, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605
