John P. Carrigan

WEST BOYLSTON-John P. "Jack" Carrigan, 73, of West Boylston died Thursday, March 3 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare. He leaves his adoring wife of 48 years Emi R. (Borci) Carrigan; his loving family, John P. Carrigan and his wife Liza of Holden, Joe A. Carrigan and his wife Karen of Sterling and Chris T. Carrigan and his wife Linda of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Keli, Anna, Sydney, Katie, Joe and Sam. He also leaves a brother Tom Carrigan and his wife Cynthia of Beaufort, SC, a sister Jane Moynihan and her husband Daniel of Shrewsbury; several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, the son of John and J. Charlotte (Kennedy) Carrigan. Jack graduated from Assumption Preparatory School and Worcester Junior College and he was an Army Veteran. He owned and operated Jack Carrigan Associates and previously he was a Sales Manager at Yellow Freight Systems for 29 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, the Clinton Elks Lodge %231034, the Worcester Elks Lodge %23243, and the West Boylston American Legion Post %23204. He was past president of CMTA, a former president and longtime member of Central Mass Safety Council and also served as president of the Babe Ruth Baseball League for ten years.
The funeral will be held on Monday, March 7 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston, with a Mass at 11:00 AM Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 6 from 2-5 PM in the funeral home.
