WEST BOYLSTON-John T. "Jack" Colbert, 81, formerly of Worcester Street died Friday, June 16 in the Odd Fellows House.
His wife, Sharon A. (Hinson) Colbert died in 2015. He leaves a sister, Virginia M. Swanski; a brother, Edward F. Colbert both of Fort Pierce, FL; a step-son, Phillip L. Ciccone and his wife, Kara of Texas; his caregivers and friend, Tim Redmond and his wife, Dawn of Worcester; nieces and nephews and his godchildren. A brother, Michael J. Colbert and a sister, Joan M. Demarco predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Michael J. and Mary C. (Callahan) Colbert and graduated from Saint Stephen's High School.
Jack was an accountant at Wyman Gordon Company, before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel, the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council %2388 and its golf league, the former Grafton Hill American Legion Post and the Grafton Hillers. He loved going to horse races and was a strong advocate for American Legion Baseball.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 22 at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements in the care of FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street.
