John E. Dunn

BOYLSTON- John E. Dunn, 86, of Boylston, died Tuesday, July 14 at home.

His wife Corinne M. (Saulnier) Dunn predeceased him in 1997. He leaves a son, James E. Dunn of South Hadley; a daughter, Irene A. Jordan of South Grafton; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Sharp of Shrewsbury; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Frances G. Meleski and Carol E. Mallozzi.

He was born in Worcester, son of Clarence E. and Thelma F. (Hale) Dunn, graduated from Beal High School and attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific and Atlantic Theaters and later served in the Merchant Marines. John worked at Meyers Manufacturing in West Boylston for 30 years and retired in 1985. He was a long time member of St. Mary of the Hills Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 17 at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St., Boylston. There are no visiting hours and burial will be private.
