John F. Genelli Sr. 73, formerly of West Boylston died Tuesday (Oct8) after a motorcycle accident in Georgia.
He leaves his wife of 11 years, Edna Genelli, his mother Mary (Quinlisk) Genelli of the Oakdale section of West Boylston, three sons, John F. Genelli Jr. of Worcester, James M. Genelli of Hubbardston, and Jeffrey P. Genelli of West Boylston, three daughters, Mary Bailey of Jacksonville, FL, Anne Genelli-Magnati of Milan, Italy, and Julie Holbrook of Rutland, five grandchildren, five step-children, 21 step-grandchildren, and his former wife, Nancy Genelli of West Boylston. He was born in Gardner, son of John Genelli. He graduated from Major Edwards High School and attended Boys Trade School in Worcester.
He owned and operated Wachusett Artesian Wells with his mother for 25 years, he also worked for Worcester Sand and Gravel, Kristoff Brothers, and Peter Pan Bus Line. He retired in 1989.
He was an avid horseman, held his pilot’s license and loved motorcycles.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday (Oct15) at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church 25 Fales St. Worcester. Burial of cremains will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday (Oct.15) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Fay Brothers Funeral Home (www.faybrothers.com) 1 West Boylston St. West Boylston.
