John F. "Jack" Healy, III of Sterling passed away Sunday, April 3 in Clinton Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 26 years, Jeannine A. (St.Onge) Healy; a daughter, Jennifer A. Healy and her fianc%C3%A9e Dave Zenon of Sterling; a sister, Margaret R. Landry of Jefferson; his niece and god-child, Nicole A. Faia and her husband Mike of Sanford, ME; a nephew, Michael S. Landry of Jefferson and two great nephews, Anthony and Mikey Faia. He was born in Worcester, son of John F. Healy, Jr. and Gloria J.(Rossi) Healy and graduated from Tahanto High School, the College of the Holy Cross and did his fellowship at UMASS Amherst receiving a Masters degree in Labor Relations and Economics. He played baseball in high school and for the Main South American Legion Team.
Jack was a commissioner for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in Worcester and Boston for 30 years, retiring in 2006. He was a generous man and enjoyed helping others. Jack loved spending time with family and had a great sense of humor and loved to tell a good joke.
The Funeral will be held Thursday, April 7 at 10 am in Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Visiting Hours are Wednesday, April 6 from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
