Easton-John F. “Jack” Marc-Aurele, 55, passed away Monday, October 25.
He leaves his mother, Kathleen (Mahan) Buron and her husband, Deacon Ronald Buron of Worcester; three siblings, Paul Marc-Aurele, Jr. of Auburn, Donna Adair and her companion, Jim Dixon of Okeechobee, FL and Andrew Marc-Aurele and his wife, Elizabeth O’Connell of Leicester; six nephews and nieces, Connor, Brandon, Cassandra, Grace, Christopher, and Liliana; a grand-nephew, Gio; his oldest and dearest friend Matt Reardon, his wife Lesley and their two daughters Jocelyn and Megan.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Paul Marc-Aurele, Sr. He graduated from South High School, Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he was a member of the Army ROTC and received his MBA from Babson College.
Jack was a senior software engineer at Fidelity Investments. He loved the great outdoors, especially, fishing, hiking, scuba diving, tennis, bird watching, and camping. He enjoyed traveling, especially his road-trip to Alaska. He was an avid golfer and a five-time Get-Away Champion despite being a below average golfer. He was a member of the NE Region Porsche Club of America. He was a history buff and always enjoyed listening to stories of his grandfather’s experiences during World War II and Korea. Jack’s greatest treasure though, was spending time with his extended family and friends. He was a kind soul with a distinctive laugh and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Visiting Hours are Saturday, October 29 from 2 to 5pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. www.dana-farber.org
