John L. “Kickie” McCluskey 67, of 172 Vernon St. died Friday, April 16, in Mass. General Hospital, Boston, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 29 years, Margaret E. (Shaughnessy) McCluskey; three sons, John T. McCluskey, Michael J. McCluskey and Patrick J. McCluskey all of Worcester; a daughter, Kathleen M. McCluskey of Worcester; two brothers, Robert J. McCluskey of East Douglas and Richard W. McCluskey of Worcester; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Gregoriou of Charlton and Patricia A. Larson of Worcester; and nieces and nephews. A brother, Byron McCluskey predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Bernard F. and Mary A. (Bolton) McCluskey and graduated from Boys Trade School.He was an Army Veteran serving in Korea.
Kickie was a Union Carpenter for Local #107 working at Kesseli and Morse Company for many years before retiring.
He was a member of Ascension Church and the Vernon Hill American Legion Post #435.
The Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 20, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Ascension Church, 40 Vernon St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling Hours are Monday, April 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
