John H. Miller

SOUTH BARRE
John H. Miller, 62, of South Barre died Wednesday, April 20 in UMASS Medical Center.
His wife of 23 years, Beverly J. (Dunakin) Miller died in 2007. He leaves a son, Thomas G. Shamgochian and his wife Kelly of Oakham; two daughters, Jenette M. Scott and her husband Hubie of Worcester and Melissa L. Shamgochian and her partner Jennifer of Maynard; two sisters, Frances Miller and Diana Garrett both of Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Angela, Raymond, Chantel and Hannah. A son, Philip C. Marchand and a daughter, Sheryl Tom predeceased him. He was born in Boston, son of John H. and Mary (Reid) Miller and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving on the U.S.S. Coral Sea and received a Presidential Citation in the form of a Morale Award from President Lyndon B. Johnson for being a good morale booster.
John was a truck driver for many years. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed going to the races at Thompson Motor Speedway. John also enjoyed building model cars.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 26 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham St. Worcester.
