WORCESTER-John F. “Jack” Mullin, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 4 in his home.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Paula J. (Tarkiainen) Mullin; three children, John Mullin of Worcester, Kristin Degon and her husband, David of Shrewsbury and James Mullin and his wife, Julie of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Mullin and her husband, Mark, Derek Degon and his wife, Elise, James Mullin and his wife, Kasey, Sean Mullin, Kasey Link and her husband, Mitchell, Brianna Leonard and her husband, Ryan, Dylan Degon and Matthew Mullin; five great-grandchildren, Maddy, Lily, Matthew, Sophia and Nicholas; a sister, Elizabeth Schiavone and nieces and nephews. A daughter in law, Lauren Mullin, a granddaughter, Tara Mullin and two siblings, Michael Mullin and Patricia Thomas predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Michael and Ann (Tinsley) Mullin.
Jack was a baker for many years for various companies in Worcester, including Lederman’s, Widoff’s and Gerardo’s Bakeries. He was an avid fan of the New England sports teams, especially the Patriots and Red Sox and enjoyed rooting for the Cleveland Browns. Jack loved trips to Hampton Beach with family and a good sunny beach day.
A Funeral Mass will be held privately and burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, www.worcesterarl.org
