WORCESTER-John Henry Plouffe, 65, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph and Janet (Rochette) Plouffe and graduated from Worcester Vocational High School in 1974.
John's life may have been cut short, but he touched the lives of many while he was with us.

John is survived by his companion and significant other of 18 years, Nancy Barnes of Worcester, and his children; Jennifer L. Marshall of Sulphur, LA., Amy A. Neveu of Riverview, FL and John H. Plouffe, Jr. of Worcester. He was "Gramps" to seven grandchildren; Kyle, Sarah, Kailin, Devin, Zachary, James and Nicholas and took on the role of a grandfather to Nancy's grandchildren; Ellery, Cole, Lainey and Quinn. John found great fulfillment in his job as a driver for Van Pool Transportation over the last several years. He was a Classic Rock music enthusiast with a deep appreciation for the Woodstock era. He loved following Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and the N.E. Patriots. In more recent years, he enjoyed an active lifestyle, going for walks, yoga and participating in Zumba classes. John cherished Nancy and adored spending time with her shopping, vacationing at Hampton Beach, going to concerts, visiting family and playing with the grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
