John M. Toromanian

WORCESTER-John M. Toromanian, 92, of Worcester, died Wednesday, July 21 at UMASS Memorial Hospital. His wife of 61 years, Louise (Ovian) Toromanian predeceased him in January, 2009. He leaves his brother, Kachadoor M. Toromanian of West Boylston and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Neshan Toromanian in June, 2004 and one sister-in-law.
He was born in Worcester, son of Manoog and Maritza (Rustigian) Toromanian and graduated from Worcester Junior College. Mr. Toromanian worked at Riley Stoker, Company as a draftsman for many years. He was a devoted member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, where he served on the Parish Council. John was a former Treasurer of the Church, was active with the AVAKS, and served on numerous committees, including the church beano committee. He was a lifetime member of Guiding Lights Lodge of Masons.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 26 at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, 01609. A visiting hour will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour.
