BOYLSTON-John Michael Tremblay, 70, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at UMass Medical Center after a short illness.

He was born in Montague, MA, son of Wilfred and Mary (O'Keefe) Tremblay. John graduated from Assumption Preparatory School and UMASS-Amherst where he earned his BS in Botany. John owned and operated Jet Coating in Boylston for over 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Marsha A. (Beaulieu) Tremblay and their two sons, Jesse of Boston and Evan of Melbourne, Australia. He also leaves his sister, Maryjane Moore of West Boylston, his father-in-law, Norman H. Beaulieu and a dear cousin, Sarah M. Chadam of Pittsburgh.

As a Botany major in college, John always had a love of horticulture. He enjoyed gardening which also brought a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting with his beloved Brittany, Chloe. John was an avid skier and was on the ski patrol at Wachusett Mountain for several years, as well as Temple Mountain. He loved to travel, and he and Marsha have visited many parts of Europe and traveled to Australia.

John was a musician in local rock bands for over 50 years, namely Kilroy, Abraham, Foam and Jarr and he cherished his long-time friendships with fellow musicians in those bands. John coached Premiere Soccer in the Worcester area and was the boys' varsity soccer coach at Tahanto Regional High School where he also served as a member of the School Council for many years.

A Celebration of Life to honor and celebrate John's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 27th at Cyprian Keys Golf Club, 284 E. Temple Street, Boylston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's memory may be sent to Tower Hill Botanical Gardens, 11 French Drive, Boylston, MA 01505.
