John Peter Veshi 

July 9, 1926 - April 24, 2025

John Veshi, 98, of West Boylston passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 24, 2025 with his family lovingly by his side. 

He leaves two daughters, Sheila Jones of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Linda Silvia (and her husband Paul Silvia) of Glendale Arizona; and two sons, Jon Veshi (and his wife Diane) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Michael Veshi of West Boylston. John was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy (Boisvert) Veshi, brothers James Filo, Soter (Cap), George Veshi and his sister Louise Veshi. 

He also leaves eleven grandchildren, Julie, Krissy, Danny, Andrew, LeeAnn, Brian, Joshua, Janine, Jaime, John and Emily, eight great grandchildren, Kaylee, Joshua, Ryan, James, Corey, Meghan, Miles and Mira who all share wonderful memories of his caring and witty nature; many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. 

John was born in Worcester, MA, son of Peter and Costantsa  (Soter) Veshi. He attended Commerce High School and Worcester Boys Trade School. John was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the Pacific from 1944 until he was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked at Wyman Gordon Company for more than 40 years before retiring in 1990. John was a member of USWC Local 2285, Greendale Mens’ Club, and American Legion Post 204 in West Boylston. 11:30 a.m. Procession to Mount Vernon Cemetery for graveside service and burial.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 9, 2025 at 19 Summit Street, Old Orchard Beach, ME.
