WORCESTER – John R. "Junie" Walker, Jr., 64, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.
Born in Richmond, Virginia, John was a son of the late John R. Walker and Ollie E. (Maddox) Walker of Worcester. In addition to his mother, John is survived by his three children, Tyrone Harrington, John Walker, III and Christopher Walker; his brother, Larry E. Walker; his three sisters, Sheila Fuller, Gwendolyn Walker and Kimberly Walker; his 10 grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. John worked in the building and construction field for many years.
"Junie", as he was affectionately known to his family loved to work with his hands, and his mind. He used both during his many years in the construction trade, and he possessed not only a talent, but a deep passion for building overall, being well versed in carpentry as well as electrical work. He also used his gifts while creating and playing music, either on the guitar or as the amazing drummer that he was. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Junie was often the guy telling, or even better, planning the joke.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember John's life during his life celebration visiting hour from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, December 31st at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
