WEST BOYLSTON-Joseph A. Giobellina, Jr., 64, of West Boylston passed away peacefully Friday, June 1 in UMASS Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife 34 years, Beth M. (Kroyak) Giobellina; two daughters, Jessica M. Giobellina and Maria A. Giobellina both of West Boylston; a grandson, Ean Giobellina; three sisters, Catherine A. and her husband, Stephen Bjorklund, Angela M. Giobellina and Marie C. Folckemer all of West Boylston and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was born in Holden, son of Joseph A. and Theresa R. (Rena) Giobellina and graduated from West Boylston High School.
Joe was the owner and operator of Swiss Valley Farm, the family farm in West Boylston and Giobellina Rubbish Removal, Trucking and Firewood Company. He loved spending time with family, especially Sunday dinners and enjoyed visits with friends in the town he so loved, West Boylston.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the care and compassion Joe received on the 7th Floor, ICU Unit at UMass Medical Center.
The Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 5 from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St. with a Mass at 10am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will. Be in Saint Luke's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday, June 4 from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home. The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester St., West Boylston, 01583.
