West Boylston
Joseph A. Giobellina Sr. 89, of 130 Fairbanks St. died Sunday, Nov. 28, at UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus.
His wife of 54 years, Theresa R. (Rena) Giobellina died in 2001. He leaves a son, Joseph A. Giobellina Jr. of West Boylston; three daughters, Catherine A. Bjorklund, Angela M. Giobellina, and Marie C. Folckemer all of West Boylston; a brother, Ermengildo Giobellina of Wayland; a sister, Mary Goretti of Paxton; eight grandchildren; and a great-grand-daughter. A sister, Catherine Giobellina, predeceased him. He was born in West Boylston, son of Fortunato and Angela (Viano) Giobellina and attended West Boylston Schools. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Joseph was the owner and operator of the Swiss Valley Farm in West Boylston. He was a member of the Harold N. Keith American Legion Post %23204, the Veterans of Foreign War Post %236907, both in West Boylston and Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
A Funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester St. W. Boylston, 01583.
