JOHNSTON, RI-Joseph G. Lynch, 48, formerly of Worcester passed away Tuesday, August 27.
He leaves his children, Norah E. Lynch and Patrick J. Lynch of Holden, whom he was so proud of, and their mom, Lisa Lucia of Holden; his siblings; Robert P. Lynch, Jr. of Worcester, Daniel J. Lynch and his wife Patricia of Holden, Maura E. O'Neil and her husband James of Worcester, Matthew H. Lynch and his wife Sandi of Madbury, NH, Terence Lynch and his wife Cara of Westborough, and Saengwian Paengwan and her husband Dave June of Thailand; many nephews and nieces; aunts and uncles; cousins and friends. His brother, John H. Lynch passed away in 2022. He was born in Worcester, son of Robert P. and Dorothy C. (Harvey) Lynch and graduated from St. John’s High School, 93’ and Worcester State College.
Joe was a technician for Verizon for many years. Joe enjoyed hiking, reading and many great years of playing rugby for the Worcester Rugby Team. He also loved all things Irish, especially Irish music. He had a larger than life personality and touched the lives of his many friends and family.
Joe's Funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 4, from Callahan, Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John's Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Tuesday Sept. 3 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the St. John's Food for the Poor Program, at www.stjohnsfoodforthepoor.org
