Joseph P. Maurais, Jr., 50 of Charlton passed away Monday, March 21 in Harrington Hospital, Southbridge.
He leaves his wife of 21 years, Colleen J. (Dunbar) Maurais; his mother, Beverly A. (Berkiel) Maurais of Worcester; two nephews, David B. Maurais, Jr. and Corey A. Auger and a niece, Nicole M. Auger. A brother, David B. Maurais, Sr. predeceased him in 1996. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph P. Maurais, Sr. and graduated from Burncoat Senior High School.
Joseph worked for Karl Storz Endoskope in Charlton for the past five years, prior to that he worked for EAW Company for ten years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing poker and gardening. He was a pet lover and a Harley Davidson enthusiast.
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 25 at 11 AM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Visiting Hours are Thursday, March 24, from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
