Joyce B. Brooks

WORCESTER-Joyce B. (Rockwood) Brooks, 70, of Worcester, died Wednesday, January 28 in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband of 53 years, Julian J. Brooks died in October, 2008. She leaves four sons, Julian Brier of Conway, MA, Anthony Brier of Concord, MA, Shawn Brier and Michael Brooks, both of Worcester; two daughters, Yvonne Brooks and Ann Marie Brooks, both of Worcester; fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Brier, two brothers Richard and Al Rockwood and a sister, Pauline Simpson. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Albert and Beatrice (Vautour) Rockwood.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 2 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Mon., Feb. 2 from 9:30-10:30 AM in the funeral home. www.callahanfay.com
