Judith Ann West

November 3, 1938 — September 11, 2018

BOYLSTON-Judith Ann (Daly) West passed away early Tuesday morning, September 11, 2018, surrounded by her children at the Sterling Village.
Her loving husband of 46 years, David O. West, passed away in October, 2006. David and Judy shared 46 years of life and the experiences around raising eight children together.

Judy is survived by her eight children, David O. West, Jr. of Westminster, Christopher J. West and his wife Colleen of Worcester, Stephen P. West and his partner Debbi Keyser of Edgewater, FL, Mary J. (West) Pierce and her husband Todd of Clinton, Kevin M. West of Westminster, Timothy G. West and his wife, Lynn of Worcester, Paul A. West and his wife Diana of Worcester, and Matthew P. West and his wife Kirsten of Millbury. Judy had 17 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much and was so proud of, and many nephews and nieces.

Born in Worcester, Judy was the youngest of seven children born to Joseph and Ethel (Reidy) Daly. As a child, she enjoyed music lessons, voice lessons, the movies and roller skating. Judy graduated from St. Peter's High School in 1956. She continued her education at Anna Maria College and graduated in 1960 with a BA in education.

Judy raised her family in town of Boylston where she was a member of the Garden Club and the Firefighter's Women's Auxiliary. She attended St. Mary of the Hills Church in Boylston where she was a member of the choir, the Women of St. Mary's and other church groups and activities. As Judy's children grew, she became a substitute teacher in the Boylston/Berlin School district. She substituted for 30 years, met many children, and considered them her own. Judy sold Mary Kay Cosmetics for 35 years. She often spoke of her customers and cherished them all.
Judy enjoyed writing, art, reading, music and traveling. She enjoyed Martha's Vineyard and San Diego most of all places. Judy was involved in writing groups in Lancaster and Holden.

She spent her last few months living at Brookdale at Eddy Pond in Auburn. At Eddy Pond, Judy was able to enjoy all the things that she loved. The family would like to thank those at Brookdale, Trinity Hospice and Judy's good friend Virginia for making her last few months the best they could be for her.
