WEST BOYLSTON - Katherine Ellen (Traynor) Lehman passed away peacefully at her home on the afternoon of October 1, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Kathy was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert Lehman; her parents, Edward and Ruth (Heffernan) Traynor; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her daughter, Emily Lehman Miller, and her husband, Brian, of West Boylston; and her son, Edward, and his wife, Cody (DeSouza), of Hopkinton. Kathy was Nana to three handsome, strong willed and energetic grandsons, Charlie, Ian and Wren. They were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Carol (Lehman) Fleming, and her husband, Jim, of Rhode Island; and Darleen Lehman and her partner, David Coffey, of West Boylston, along with her many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Kathy was born and raised in Leicester, MA where she attended St. Joseph’s School. She graduated from Marian High School in 1967 and was forever grateful to all the nuns who taught her strength, resilience and the power of caring for others. Kathy went on to earn her nursing certificate from City Hospital in 1970 and spent 40 years working as a nurse in the City of Worcester.
Kathy loved the home that she and Bob built together. Outside of her children and grandchildren, her greatest joys were reading, gardening, cooking and entertaining. She also enjoyed traveling and spent a good part of the last year taking trips to new and long favorite places. She leaves behind a strong community of people that she loved and cared for deeply.
The family wishes to thank everyone who has offered support through Kathy’s brief battle with cancer, with particular love and appreciation to all of our family and friends who have gone above and beyond.
