Kathleen M. (Rushford) Foley, 64, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2019 at Knollwood Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Worcester on September 3, 1954 a daughter of the late Howard E. and Rose M. (Melfi) Rushford. Katie enjoyed vacations on Cape Cod, an occasional trip to the casino and playing card games. She was full of laughter and above all loved her children, grandchildren and family.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Kevin J. Foley; two children, Michael Popowicz of North Carolina and Michelle Lesniewski of Charlton; Three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.
Her husband wishes to express his sincere thanks to the caregivers and staff at Knollwood Nursing Center for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Katie during her illness. He also wishes to thank the staff at Summit Elder Care for the exceptional service that they provided.
In accordance with her wishes, funeral services will be held privately and are under the care of Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
