West Boylston
Kathryn M. (McLaughlin) Rousseau of 163 Woodland Street, passed away peacefully at the Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center on Thurs., Nov. 22 after an illness.
Kathryn was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Joseph A. Rousseau, in 1976. She leaves 4 sons; Joseph F. Rousseau and his wife Marilyn of Spofford, NH, Robert B. of Princeton, Richard G. and his wife Patti of Charlottesville, VA, Dennis K. of Cookeville, TN and one daughter, Donna K. Kielinen of Westminster. She is predeceased by her 5 siblings, Ethel, Gertrude, Dorothy, Frederick and Helena. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her sister in-law and her husband, Joan (Rousseau) and Edward Ruh of Homossassa Springs, FL.
Kathryn was born in Worcester, daughter of Frederick and Mary (Brennan) McLaughlin. She was a graduate of Millbury High School and moved to West Boylston with her husband and family in 1958. Kathryn worked at the Howard Johnson's restaurant in West Boylston while her children attended school and later worked to assist the elderly for the Worcester Age Center. She was a member of the Saint Christopher's Parish in Worcester. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a local ladies bowling league for many years. She also enjoyed square dancing, travel, shopping and long Sunday afternoon car rides. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 24 in FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St. A calling hour will be from 10:00AM until the time of the service.
