Kenneth J. Burns, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 31st.
He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Helen (Valatkevitch) Setterlund and the late Kenneth F. Burns. He leaves behind his former wife, Gaby Navarro, his stepparents, John Setterlund and Maryellen (Kennedy) Burns and his sisters, Alysa (Burns) Lofstrom and her husband, Dave of Kingston, MA, Bridget Burns and her fiance Joseph Kelly of Leicester and Molly (Burns) Gonet and her husband Alfred of Shrewsbury. Kenny leaves behind 6 nephews, Benjamin, Luke, Jake, Ethan, Caleb and Patrick and a niece, Amelia. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many friends.
He graduated from Doherty High School in 1993 and went on to study criminal justice at Quinsigamond Community College. From there he went on to work for the department of Immigration and Naturalization for 10 years. Kenny was an avid New England sports fan, he never missed a Patriots, Celtics or Bruins game. He enjoyed spending time with his close group of friends and family
A Visiting Hour will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 10-11am with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
