Kenneth F. Mahan, 97, passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2024 at Dodge Park Rest Home in Worcester. His beloved wife, Mary “O’Gara” Mahan, of over 70 years passed away in 2021.
After graduating high school, Ken proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was called back during the Korean Conflict to serve in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Kenneth and his wife enjoyed many years of camping at Coldbrook Campground in Barre and Bourne Scenic Park on Cape Cod. In later years they also spent time in Brewster where they owned a home. He also enjoyed antiquing, fishing, coaching, "putzing around the house" and cheering on all Boston sports teams and telling stories about his time in the service. Above all he cherished time spent with his family and will be missed dearly. He leaves behind his children, Thomas Mahan and his wife, Janice of Virginia, James K. Mahan and his wife, Sarah of Holden, Susan Brennan and her husband, Stephen of Worcester and Kenneth E.
