It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin “Keggy” McKernan, 65, on Monday, October 27th, 2025, after a courageous year-and-a-half battle with ongoing health issues. Kevin was a devoted dad, papa, son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend to so many.
Born on September 10, 1960, in Worcester, Kevin was the son of Janet (Willand) and Bernard McKernan. After graduating from West Boylston High School, he went on to have a successful career with Carpenters Union Local 336 and Roofers Union Local 33, where he worked until his retirement.
He leaves many behind that love him and will miss him including his daughter, Alyssa (McKernan) Kucinski, her husband Kevin, and his granddaughter Raelynn. He is also survived by his siblings Brian McKernan, Mark McKernan, Meg McKernan and Kara Griffin as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family.
Kevin had quick wit, a big heart, and always found a way to make others laugh. He was one of the most stubborn and hardworking men you would ever meet but he’d give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. In his free time, Kevin loved golfing, hunting, and rooting for his beloved Boston teams: the Patriots, Bruins, and Red Sox. He was a familiar face at Finders Pub and The Manor, where he loved playing (and winning) Keno with his favorite people.
Above all, Kevin was a proud Dad to his daughter Alyssa and Papa to his granddaughter Raelynn creating memories they will cherish forever.
Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Keggy's life on November 15th at The Manor, 42 W Boylston St, West Boylston from 11AM-3PM.
