Larry R. Roux, 59, of Sterling passed away Fri., Jan. 11, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife, Carolyn (Geneva) Roux; two children, Steven Roux of Sterling and Jennifer Roux of Worcester; his mother, Martha M. (Montambeault) Boucher of Leicester; a brother, Kenneth Roux of Auburn; three sisters, Sandra Macaulay of Leicester, Tracy Rossik of Dudley and Linda Iandoli of Charlton and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Henry Roux, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester son of Lionel L. Roux.

Larry was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received several medals, including the Bronze Star and the Expert M-14. After serving his country in Vietnam, Larry served his state as a Worcester Police Officer for several years before retiring. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club, the National Rifle Assoc. and an avid outdoorsman. Larry loved cheering on the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins. He felt most at peace while camping, surrounded by the quiet of nature. Three of his favorite pastimes were traveling to Las Vegas, beating his mother at cribbage and making people laugh. His family will deeply miss his smile, laughter and unique sense of humor.
The funeral will be held Wed., Jan. 16, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston with a Mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., W. Boylston. A visiting hour will be held Wed., Jan 16., from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
