Lawrence P. Roy

WORCESTER-Lawrence P. Roy, 62, passed away Sunday, February 22.

He leaves his three loving children, Christine M. and her husband, Sean Donohoe of Northborough, Kevin M. Roy and his partner, Al Cennerazzo of Northampton and Amy J. and her husband, Adam Gaudette of Sturbridge, four grandchildren, Alicia and Colleen Donohoe and Jack and Benjamin Gaudette. He also leaves his former wife and good friend, Patricia Roy of Sturbridge; his father, Stanley A. Roy, Sr. and his wife Claire of Worcester; four sisters and two brothers, Karyn A. MacGillivray and her husband, Robert Filete of Holden, Ann Marie O'Reilly of Southampton, Sandra E. and her husband, Kevin DiMauro of Hubbardston, Stanley A. Roy, Jr. and his wife, Jeanie of Holden, Frederick and his wife Denise Waldman of Manchester, NH, Deborah and her husband, Roger Labreche of New York and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Worcester the son of Stanley A. Roy, Sr. and the late Gilberte M. (Groulx) Roy and graduated from Commerce High School. He was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the Navy. Mr. Roy was formerly branch manager at the People's Bank in Holden and distribution manager at Norton Company. After Norton Company, he founded Graystone Abrasives in Hilton Head, SC where he worked for many years before retiring.

The funeral will be Wednesday, February 25 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. George's Church, 38 Brattle St. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, February 24 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
