Lee Ann Desy

WORCESTER- Lee Ann Desy, 47, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019.

She was born in Worcester on March 22, 1972 daughter of Thomas and Mary (Knight) Desy.

Lee was raised in Worcester and attended local schools. She graduated from South High Community School, Class of 1990 and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Paralegal studies from Anna Maria College. For a few years, she relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where she loved the climate but missed her family dearly, especially her nieces. Throughout her career, Lee worked as a paralegal and also in pharmaceutical sales. She also worked for Hanover Insurance where she retired from due to illness.

Lee had a passion for working out and spent countless hours at the gym and also enjoyed walking around the city, particularly Quinsigamond Village and College Hill. She trained and competed in many body building events in Massachusetts and Arizona. She had a love for music and enjoyed dancing and attending many live concerts with her friends and family.

She will always be missed and lovingly remembered by her mother, Mary (Knight) Desy; her father, Thomas Desy; a sister, Brenda Diggs and her significant other, Bobby Sanders; her nieces, Dominique, Ava and Mykaila Diggs; her cousins, Carol Pingitore, Ann Pingitore-Spring, Donna Anderson, Robert Pingitore and Ralph Knight and their families; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents; David and Gertrude Knight and Owen and Mary R. Desy, and her uncle Ronald Desy.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Lee's life on Friday, November 1st from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Her funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Saturday, November 2nd at St. John's Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
