AUBURN-Leo Gary Morton, 66, of Auburn, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, after a 23-year battle with heart conditions and Myasthenia Gravis. He is survived by his wife, Pamela S. (Calcagni) Morton. Gary and Pam would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on Monday. He also leaves a son, Leo G. Morton, Jr., and his companion Beth Orsini of Westborough; two daughters, Kerry A. Garabedian and her husband Wilbur of Auburn, and Monica L. Zicuis of Worcester; six grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Abby, Cadence, Juliet and Robyn; and two sisters, Marie and Beverly Morton, both of Melrose.
He was born in Worcester, son of Leo A. and Ann (Falcone) Morton and graduated from Doherty High School. Gary owned and operated Morton's Transportation. He was very active in the Auburn Little League and coached the Auburn Elks with Charlie Hannon. Gary could often be found listening to music while spending time out in the neighborhood in his electric wheelchair. He also enjoyed trading in the stock market, and always loved a good laugh. Most of all, Gary was a loving family man who cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 10:30 AM at CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday, May 9th from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, do%C2%ACnations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by visiting www.cff.org.
