WORCESTER
A small piece of the planet shuddered to a halt Tuesday, Oct. 7, when Linda M. (Kaminski) Courtney passed away of cancer at the age of 53.
She leaves her husband of 30 years, David M. Courtney; two daughters, Jessica Elspeth and Rhiannon Faithe; two sons, Morgan-Ross and Devon Matthew, all of Worcester. She is survived by her parents, Joseph and Irene (Prusko) Kaminski of Rutland; a sister, Paula Stidsen of Rutland, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, and graduated form Burncoat High School and Clark University.
She was a career travel consultant, a horsewoman, and extremely active in her home parish of St. Peter's, where she taught C.C.D., First Communion, directed the annual Christmas Pageant, and served on various church committees and on the Parish Council.
She loved Celtic music, Irish Culture, animals, especially her black kitten, Goblin. A woman of courage, determination, humor, and faith, Linda was an inspiration to all those who knew her, particularly to those who treated and cared for her during her illness. She sends her deep appreciation to all who helped her during that time.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 13, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11a.m. in St. Peter's Church 931 Main St. Calling Hours will be held Sunday, Oct. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
