Linda M. Loughlin

WORCESTER-Linda M. (O’Connor) Loughlin, 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 21st in UMASS Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

She leaves her beloved husband of 33 years, Paul L. Loughlin; two children, Matthew Tisdell and his fiancée, Kelly of Newton and Allison LaFratta of Worcester; sister, Patricia A. Pace and her husband, James of Auburn; a brother, John P. O’Connor and his wife, Judy of Sandwich; four nieces, Alyson, Katherine, Alexandra, and Kelsey; and a great-niece, Livianna.

Linda was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Dorothy M. (Cadigan) O’Connor. She attended Worcester Public Schools and graduated from South High School. Linda retired from the Auburn Public School System.

Linda loved to travel and enjoyed vacations to Mexico, the Caribbean and Ireland. She crocheted many beautiful afghans for family and friends. She was a proud frugal shopper and always impeccably dressed. Linda was a fabulous cook who enjoyed hosting and entertaining. She loved incorporating the fruits of her garden to her table.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 29 at 10 am in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Linda loved her rescue dogs. With that in mind, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be in her name to Buddy Dog Humane Society at www.buddydoghs.org
