Linda A. Simon, 78, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at UMASS. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald S. Simon who passed away in 2014.
Linda was born on October 9th, 1946, daughter to the late Gertrude Low. She was born and raised in Worcester and graduated from South High School. Linda was a retired computer chip assembler who dedicated a significant portion of her career to Micro Networks Corporation, from which she retired in 1994.
Linda was known for her kind and loving nature, her sharp sense of humor, and her unwavering determination. Those who knew her will remember her laugh and the warmth she brought into any room. She had a passion for various activities, including visiting casinos, bingo, pitch and rooting for the Patriots. Linda also enjoyed tackling puzzles and took great pleasure in traveling, particularly to the beaches of Florida and Myrtle Beach, where she found joy and tranquility. Additionally, she was an active member of the bell choir at Notre Dame, showcasing her love for music and community. Above all she loved making memories with her family.
Linda is survived by many family and friends who will cherish her memory including her children, Kimberly LaFlash and husband, Steven, Kevin Simon and wife, Earlysa, Stephen Millette, Ann Newman and husband, Wade, and Christopher Millette; her step children, Joe Simon and wife, Catherine, Johnathon Simon and wife, Ulrike, Stacy Kelly and wife, Kristina; her grandchildren, Stephen Smith, and Eleni Psomadelis, Danielle Laingor, Kayla LaFlash, Tyler LaFlash, Ryan Millette, Olivia Simon, Ajalee and Ayden Millette and Sydney and Nathan Gentile; her great grandchildren, Khai Ly and Xander Miranda, Katarina LaFlash, Damion and Lucy Smith.
Family and friends are welcome to visiting hours on September 26, 2025 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home in Worcester, located at 61 Myrtle Street. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm with burial following in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. There will be no mercy meal or gathering after the burial.
