WORCESTER- Lisa M. Marlborough, 52, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at UMass Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Worcester on January 30, 1967 a daughter of the late Barbara E. (Holmes) Carlson and Carl F. Carlson, Jr. She attended local schools and graduated from South High School Class of 1985. Lisa began her career working as a teller at the former Shawmut Bank, now Peoples United Bank and later at Loomis. Most recently, she was employed as a clerk at Kohl's Department Store on Lincoln Street in Worcester.
Lisa's greatest joy was being a mom and she devoted her life to raising her two wonderful sons. She was very proud of JC's golf skills; we know that she was looking down on him when he won a golf tournament in her memory. She was a lifelong fan of the band U2 and met Bono several times attending their concerts.
She leaves behind her son, John C. "JC" Marlborough of Worcester; her siblings, Sandi Carlson of Worcester, Nancy Smith and her husband, Carl of Worcester, Laurie Lebel with whom she lived and Karen Lasko and her husband, John of Collegeville, PA; she also leaves her beloved cat, "Willy" and many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Nicholas W. Marlborough who died in 2012 and her brother, David Carlson who died in 2017.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Thursday, June 27th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Lindquist-Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28th at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at All Faith's Cemetery.
