BIOGRAPHY OF THE LATE LIVINGSTONE K. DUSSEY

Livingstone Dussey was born on May 10, 1941, in Kotobabi, Accra Ghana, to the late Paul Billy Dussey and Mary Avah Gbedemah, He was the first born to his parents who were Goldsmith and a seamtress. Knowing the importance of education, and realizing how smart he was, his parent enrolled him at Kotobabi 2 Boys Middle school from January 1958 to August 1961.
Upon his graduation with impressive grades, and determined to pursue his dreams, “Stone” as he was affectionately called by close friends and family, gained admissions to school of hygiene in July 1961, where he graduated and obtained certificate as Rural Health Inspector.
In 1972, Livingstone migrated to United States of America, New York, to be precise. Due to his passion for education, with the sole understanding that knowledge is power, he again enrolled at University of New York; after graduating he worked in NY for couple of years and then moved to Worcester Massachusetts in 1987.
On settling in Worcester, Livingstone decided to continue his education, he again got admission to pursue Microelectronics and Computer Technology at North Eastern University in 1998.
Work life, upon graduating from North Eastern University, Stone was employed at Intel, where he worked till his retirement. Stone decided to relocate to Ghana after his retirement in 2004, but things didn’t work as planned, he moved back to USA in 2008.
“Stone” is known to be compassionate, hardworking, peaceful man, dedicated to the things of God, family, friends, and community at large. Livingstone was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a loyal friend to many.
Throughout his life, Livingstone pursued his passions and worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. He was a skilled man, known for his attention to detail and creativity. His work was not just a means of income but a reflection of his commitment to excellence in everything he did.
Livingstone was also a pillar of support for those around him, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him.
On July 3, 2024, death laid its icy hand on Livingstone Dussey, after a short illness. He left behind a legacy of love, strength, and integrity. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community, but his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 16, from 4-6PM at Callahan Fay and Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, MA. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, beginning at 8AM, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, MA.
