West Boylston
Lorenz E. "Eb" Whitcomb, 67, of West Boylston and Spencer died Tuesday (Jan15) in UMASS Memorial Medical Center- Lake Ave Campus, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife Janet R. (Zuranski) Whitcomb, three daughters, Loret R.W. Schur of Sterling, Paula A.W. Menendez and Holly L.W. Jameson both of West Boylston, two brothers, Edgar Whitcomb of West Boylston and Ralph Whitcomb of Pocasset, two sisters, Jane Leslie of Sterling and June Marvin of Huntsville, AL, six grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A sister Jacqueline Dolan of Seabrook, NH died in 1995 He was born in West Boylston son of Ralph O. and Alta M. (Walker) Whitcomb. He served for eight years in the Army Reserve.
He worked part time for the last 2 %C2%BD years for the Woodmeister Corp. of Worcester prior to that he worked for the Highway Department for the town of West Boylston for 34 years retiring in 1998.
He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Spencer.
He enjoyed Fishing, Boating and singing.
A Funeral will be held Thursday (Jan17) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 111 Worcester St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association 30 Speen St. Framingham 01701 or to the charity of choice.
