Lorraine J. Favreault

May 12, 1934 — August 14, 2023

Worcester

WORCESTER-Lorraine J. (Guertin) Favreault, 89, of Worcester, died peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023.

Born in Oxford, on May 12, 1934, to Joseph and Clara (Laramie) Guertin, Lorraine was the ninth of eleven children.

She is survived by three daughters: Mary-Frances Reardon and her husband, Jack, of Worcester; Charlene Griffin and her husband, Joseph, of Holden; and Amy Benoit and her husband, Daniel, of Rutland.

Lorraine cherished her seven grandchildren: Matthew Reardon and his wife, Hannah (Baby Reardon due in November), William Reardon, Daniel Griffin, Kalene Griffin and her fiancé, Nick Champlin, Kaitlyn Benoit, Molly Benoit, and Joseph Benoit; and great-granddaughter, Ava Grace DiPerrio.

She also leaves two sisters: Mary Stefanov and Ruth Gibbons, and brother: Clifton Guertin; in-laws: David and Linda Favreault; Edward Favreault; and Barbara Favreault; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by seven siblings: Walter; Edward; Lawrence; George; Paul; and Joseph Guertin; and Claire Pelletier.

Lorraine’s deep faith in God saw her through the last three years without her husband and best friend, Charles R. Favreault Jr., who died in June of 2020. Married for just shy of 60 years, she and Charlie considered themselves to be lucky in both love and “the little things”.

Lorraine enjoyed life on Bauer Street, visiting with her children and grandchildren, baking cookies and pies for every occasion, and spending time with old and dear friends. Generous and good-hearted, Lorraine was always first to help out or show up, no matter the need.

Mom, we are going to “love you and leave you,” knowing you are in the best of hands. Rest in perfect peace.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 22 at 10am in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Guild of St. Agnes, 19 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
