WEST BOYLSTON- Lorraine F. (Cantwell) Goodale, 84, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Norman H. Goodale; their three children Diane Demoe and her husband David of West Tisbury, Steven Goodale and his wife Pamela of Barre, Glenn Goodale and his wife Kathleen of Petersham; 6 grandchildren Alec, Patrick, Lena, Samantha, Cassie and Benjamin; 2 great-grandchildren Colton and Ailey.
She was born in Portland, Maine on January 24, 1936 a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Cummings) Cantwell of Auburn. She leaves behind her siblings Roderick Cantwell and his late wife Carol Cantwell; Thomas Cantwell and his wife Nancy of Worcester; and Eleanor and her husband Joseph Gadbois of Brookfield. Lorraine was predeceased by her brother Walter Cantwell and his late wife Lorraine of Auburn,
An accomplished organist, Lorraine played at various churches including the Oakdale United Methodist Church where she was a member for many years. Lorraine had a talent for painting, music and creating crafts and, but above all her family meant the most to her.
The family would also like to thank the many nurses and aides from Health Alliance Hospice Care for their support.
