Lorraine McGrail

Lorraine Sylvia (Casavant) McGrail, 94, Worcester/Yarmouth Port passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday January 22nd 2024. 

   Lorraine was born in Auburn, daughter to Emile and Sylvia (LaPierre) Casavant. She graduated from Auburn schools. She married James J McGrail, October 1949 who later predeceased her in June 1998. Lorraine is also survived by two children Patricia A. Joseph and her husband Frantz Joseph of Worcester, and James J McGrail Jr. of Papillion Nebraska, who was predeceased by his wife Sharon in 2008. Lorraine has four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Claire Sheehan (Casavant) of Chula Vista, California, she was predeceased by her brother Robert Casavant in 2016. Lorraine also has several nieces and nephews.

   She loved spending time with her family, especially her cat Miah who was her best friend. Lorraine‘s hobbies included antiquing, sunbathing and doing arts and crafts with her youngest granddaughter Emily. Lorraine will be greatly missed by all. Private services will be held at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral home on Thursday February 1st from 10-12. Lorraine will be laid to rest on Friday, February 2nd at Massachusetts National Military Cemetery of Bourne MA at 12:30. For additional information please visit www.callahanfay.com
