WORCESTER-Louanne E. "LouLou" (Parda) Smajkiewicz was only 46 when she succumbed to a long illness and died on Wednesday, September 1st in Saint Francis Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband Alex Smajkiewicz in 1999. Louanne leaves her father, Boleslaw Parda of Worcester; three sisters, Pamela Daniel and husband Stephen of Auburn, Claudia Parda Bauman and husband William of Sterling, and Sarahbeth Persiani and husband Anthony of Millbury; and a brother, Daniel W. Parda of St. Petersburg, FL. She also leaves her beloved nieces Sage and Aili Bauman and Chloe Persiani and her nephews, Nathan and Eric Daniel. Louanne loved animals and left her beloved little Chihuahua Buffy in the care of her father Boleslaw and her black Persian cat Simon in the care of her sister Pamela. She was predeceased by her mother Carolyn F. (Salmonson) Parda in 2007 and a nephew Jared Daniel in 2008.
She was born in Worcester and graduated from Burncoat Senior High School, Class of 1982. Louanne worked as a nurse's aide at Charstelle Nursing Home. Louanne and her late husband Alex ran the popular antique shop "Oldies But Goodies" in Worcester from 1994 through 1999. Her family was very important to her and she loved giving gifts and making other people smile with her generosity.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Louanne's life will be held at Noon on Saturday, September 4 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Friday, September 3 from 4-6 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
