Louise M. (Murphy) Amato August 2, 1934 – February 19, 2026
WEST BOYLSTON-Louise M. Amato, 91, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at Oakdale Nursing Home. Born on August 2, 1934, in Marlborough, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alice L. (Monette) Murphy and Charles F. Murphy. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Michael L. Amato in 1998.
Louise was a proud graduate of Marlborough High School and went on to dedicate more than 20 years of her life as a nursing attendant at Worcester County Hospital, where she cared for others with quiet strength and compassion. Throughout her life, she faced many challenges, yet she persevered with resilience and determination.
Later in life, Louise found renewed happiness with her second husband. Her husband also introduced her to gardening, and the two of them spent many happy hours tending their garden with each other.
Louise is survived by her loving children: John Morin, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Newport News, Virginia; Mary (Morin) McGovern and her husband Dana of Templeton; and Matthew Morin. She was the sister of Charles Murphy of Florida, Barbara Blanchette of Westborough, and Kathleen Ciccerone of Hudson, Massachusetts.
She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; and her beloved sons, Kevin Morin of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Michael Morin of Worcester and a son James Morin of Fredericksburg, VA.
Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Louise’s life with a visiting hour on Tuesday, February 24th from 9:30 until 10:30am at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. A funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
