Louise R. Moquin

HOLDEN – Louise (Horton) Moquin, 79 passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 while in the loving care of her family at home. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late John Horton and Florence O'Gorman.
Following her graduation form Saint Peter's High School in Worcester in 1957, Louise relocated to Washington, DC, where she became a member of the White House staff during the Kennedy administration. Following President Kennedy's death, Louise relocated to a job with the Democratic National Committee and then the US Maritime Commission. Louise returned to the Worcester area and began working in the claims department at Paul Revere Insurance Company, now Unum in Worcester for 20 years. Louise was a voracious reader, loved the challenge of crossword puzzles and word search games and visiting the area casinos with her beloved husband, Al. Her proudest role was that of a mother, grandmother and recently, a great grandmother. She truly enjoyed all the time she spent with her family.
She will be missed and forever loved by her beloved husband of more than 30 years, Albert J. Moquin, Sr.; her two children, Mark Halpin of Worcester and Bridget M. Hine and her fiancé, Thomas Pechinis; her two stepchildren, Albert J. Moquin, Jr. and Deborah Catroni, both of Worcester; her six grandchildren, Emily, Evan, Keegan, Chad, Danny and Jeremy; and her great granddaughter, Gigi; her three step great grandchildren, Chad, Jr., Mariah and Kendra; as well as several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sibling, Shirley, Mary and Jack.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Louise's family on Thursday, July 26th from 5-7 p.m. at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A Life Celebration and prayer service honoring Louise will follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice and Palliative Care, 199 Rosewood Dr., Suite 180, Danvers, MA 01923 in thanks for the loving care the staff showed to Louise and the family during her final days.
