Louise E. (Orcutt) Mulcahy, 85, of Worcester passed away Monday January 12. in the Beaumont Nursing Center in Northboro. Her husband Vincent J. Mulcahy died in 1987. She leaves seven sons, Michael E. and wife Kathy Mulcahy of Rutland, Paul F. and wife Cindi Mulcahy of Nebraska, Kevin R. and wife Connie Mulcahy of Washington, Thomas V. and wife Patty Mulcahy of Sutton, James J. and wife Noreen Mulcahy of Charlton, John L. and wife Janet Mulcahy of Canada and Phillip A. and wife Cindy Mulcahy of Shrewsbury; five daughters, Patricia A. and husband Thomas F. Moore of Seffner, FL, Kathryn M. and husband Michael R. Thompson of Seffner, FL, Eileen L. and husband Philip L. Scavone of Seffner, FL, Joanne M. and husband Terry O'Brien of Northboro and MaryAnn Mulhearn of Auburn; a son-in-law, Kenneth E. Favreau of Auburn; a brother, Roger and wife Carole Orcutt of Arizona; a sister, Shirley and husband Louis Ritacco of Rhode Island; 39 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her daughter Carolyn M. Favreau predeceased her.
She was born in Ashland, Maine, daughter of Elbridge and Annie (Morrisey) Orcutt and graduated from Commerce High School. Louise was a social worker for the Little Sisters of Assumption. She was a long time member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine for 25 years.
The funeral will be held Sat. Jan. 17 from Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Fri., Jan. 16, from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maintenance Fund of Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worc., MA 01603 or Little Sisters of the Assumption, 137 Endicott St., Worc., MA 01610.
