WORCESTER-Loula (Zoulas) Sotiriou, 66, went to our Lord Tuesday, January 31 at home after a very long illness surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves her husband of 47 years, Peter Sotiriou; two daughters, Anna wife of Nikolaos Engonidis of Worcester and Irene wife of Vasilios Vogiatzis of Wilmington, NC; a brother, Ari Zoulas of Corfu, Greece; two sisters, Froso Poulis of Corfu, Greece and Kleo Hronopoulos of Athens, Greece; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was born in Igoumenitsa, Greece and grew up in Corfu, Greece. She and her husband came to Worcester in 1959. Loula worked as a self-employed seamstress and also worked for Bonardi's for a few years. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and its Ladies Philoptochos Society. Loula enjoyed traveling, especially to Greece. She was a very generous, loving and caring woman who adored her grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday, February 4 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a service at 10:30 AM at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. 102 Russell St. followed by burial in Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday, February 3 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
