Lucette M.
Dowd
Sep 20, 1942 — Jul 31, 2026
Webster
Lucette passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 31st after a brief illness.
Born in Chicoutimi–Jonquière Quebec Canada in 1942 she was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice Bouchard.
Lucette was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, a cherished friend, and chanteuse. Prior to retiring, she was a singer in a wedding band with her husband, Ronald J. Dowd, and a caregiver for a multitude of young children.
In addition to her beloved husband, Ronald, Lucette is survived by her four children and their spouses: her daughter, Lina Vincent and her husband, Norman, of Thompson, Connecticut; and her sons, René Lyman and his wife, Johanna, of Webster, Massachusetts; André Lyman and his wife, Kelly, of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; and Martin Lyman and his wife, Melanie, of Charlton, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Lori Smith, and her husband, James of Sutton, Massachusetts.
Lucette is also survived by her two brothers, Carol Bouchard and Louis Bouchard, both of Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada. She was predeceased by several siblings, Ariel, Guy, Leo, Andre and Jean Bouchard, and her only sister Thérèse Fournier.
Lucette was also a devoted and loving grandmother to five grandchildren; Michelle LaRose and husband Timothy, Sean Callahan and wife Keisha, Jodi Jones and husband William, Julia Lyman, and William Lyman; as well as eight great-grandchildren: Ruby, Fionah, Sunny, and Kora LaRose, Lina and Abraham Jones, and Athan and Brennah Callahan.
And last but not least, she also leaves behind many of Ronald's family members, who became her family over the years and whom she loved dearly.
Words can’t adequately express how profoundly she will be missed by all who love her. She was a deeply loving, compassionate, and immeasurably strong woman.
