Lucille's Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 25th at 11:00 am at Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield.
WEST BOYLSTON- Lucille A. (Cook) Smith, 90, died peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She leaves two daughters, Sandra Silverman (Steven) and Shelley Smith, four grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Dakota and Shyanne, two great grandchildren, Kylee and Luna, and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was predeceased by her husband Raymond J. Smith in 1991 after 40 wonderful years, a brother, Donald O. Cook, a cousin, Mick Hill and in 2007 her beloved grandson, Specialist Kyle Little.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Bernard P. and Dora (Allen) Cook.
Lucille worked at Memorial Hospital for 20 years and was a longtime member of Lakeview Congregational Church in Worcester. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, socializing at church and in the community, and had a lifelong interest in music. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center for their compassionate care.
There are no calling hours. A Graveside service will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeview Congregational Church, 115 Coburn Ave., Worcester, Ma 01604 or the Activities Fund at the Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, 76 North Main St., West Boylston, MA 01583. Arrangements are in the care of Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
