Luis H. Diaz

WORCESTER-Luis H. Diaz, 77, of Worcester died unexpectedly Friday, January 29, 2021 while courageously battling Multiple Myeloma.

He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, son of the late Armando Diaz and Balbina (Cobian) Gurmandi. Mr. Diaz worked for the Worcester Public School Department driving special needs school buses. Luis was an avid bowler and a huge soccer fan of Boca Juniors (Argentina). While he still lived in Argentina, he played soccer for the Club Athletico Huracán and also played Volleyball for Club Comunicaciones.

Mr. Diaz is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Rosa M. (Rojas) Diaz and his son, Luis A. Diaz. He was predeceased by his siter, Norma Gurmandi.

Visiting Hours will be held Monday, February 1st from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street.
