WORCESTER-Mabel F. "Gram" (Bergstrom) Perkins, 90, of Worcester passed away Monday peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a long illness.

Her husband of 59 years, Robert M. Perkins died in January 1996. She leaves a son, Robert A. Perkins of Worcester; a daughter, Barbara A. Chaput of Worcester; four grandchildren, Lisa Drennan of Pittsfield, Sheila Leonard and her husband Dennis of E. Brookfield, Jill Garry and her husband Robert of Bristol, CT, Michelle Vankonyneburg of Worcester; a sister, Pearl Pugliese of Shrewsbury; seven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Two sisters, Hilda Scheibler, Dorothy Benson and two brothers, George and Carl Bergstrom predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Phillip and Mabel (Blomgren) Bergstrom and lived here all her life. She worked many years ago at the former Gateway Restaurant in Worcester and at Forest Grove Middle School Cafeteria retiring in 1970. Gram loved to cook, crochet and take trips to Mohegan Sun Casino. Christmas was her favorite time, she would shop all year and loved to buy and give gifts.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 14 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, P.O.
